About the Grants Office

Vision

The vision of the Grants Office is to create opportunities to achieve academic goals of the faculty, staff and programs by prospecting for grant sources and supporting the work of grant proposal submission. The Grants Office seeks to develop funding sources to support the nation’s preeminent developmental educational mission.

Deadlines

Grants at the University of Minnesota are due to the Sponsored Projects Administration a minimum of 48 hours before the funding agency deadline and to the University of Minnesota Foundation offices a minimum 5 business days prior to the deadline. Grants must be processed at General College prior to that time. Please plan for all grants to be completed and to the General College grants office a minimum of 72 hours prior to the deadline.
